Each pedestal has three drawers that are flanked by a decorative carved column. The drawers fitted with the original recessed brass handles. The desk stands on a solid plinth base. For ease of transport the desk comprises of three parts: the two pedestals and the top.
The desk is in excellent condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The mahogany has a rich warm shade with a striking grain.Bombay
