Anglo-Indian Rosewood Library BookcaseMid 19th century
A British colonial library bookcase in rosewood with a flat top, egg and dart carving on the edge and Fleur- the- Lis carving on the frieze. The frames of the double doors are carved with elongated reserves and each door has five bevelled glazed panels, the interior fitted with four shelves.
The bottom is finished with a gadrooned moulded edge and resting on melon sectioned carved feet
The cupboard is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The rosewood has a dark shade with a striking grainGujarat
