Anglo-Indian Teakwood Dining TableMid 19th century
A rectangular British colonial dining table made of teakwood. The top is figured with an edge above an apron with a nice decorative carving on the long sides. It stands on a cylindrical turned pedestal with a beautifully carved baluster support that rests on four splayed legs. The table is of good proportions and would easily seat eight people.
The table is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The teakwood has a warm shade with a striking grain.
