Pair of Anglo-Indian Mahogany ArmchairsMid 19th century
An elegant pair of British colonial upholstered armchairs made from mahogany. The chairs have a scrolled arm rail and fine decoration to the arm support. The chairs are supported by two cabriole front legs with carving on the knees, terminating in a peg foot and square back legs that are moderately racked. The chairs have been newly upholstered. The seat height is 33 cm (13”).
The chairs are in good condition and have been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The rosewood has a dark shade with a striking grain
