Anglo-Indian Teakwood Display Cabinet – SOLDLate 19th century
An elegant and serpentine shaped British colonial display cabinet in teakwood with a deep moulded and carved cornice. The cabinet has one door with a large glazed panel that is flanked by two pilasters and two smaller glazed panels. The two sides also with a glazed panel. Inside three teakwood shelves.
The cabinet stands on four spirally turned legs that are interconnected with stretchers.
The cabinet was found in Bombay, India and made during the colonial era.
The cabinet is in excellent condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
