Anglo-Indian Teakwood Writing DeskMid 19th century
A British colonial teakwood desk with a decorative gallery in rosewood on top of the writing surface. The desk features a central drawer with on either side one drawer with a rosewood panel beneath it. All drawers with the original brass handles. On the sides, two rosewood stretchers connect the front- and back leg. The piece stands on four tapered legs ending in a peg.
The desk is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
