British Colonial Mahogany Writing Table with Leather Top
Late 19th centuryA British colonial mahogany writing table with a rectangular overhanging top with a leather insert. It has one long drawer flanked by two short drawers with original recessed brass handles. The circular reeded legs are turned and tapered, flare out at the bottom and terminate in a ring and a peg foot.
The table is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The mahogany has a rich warm shade with a striking grain.
