British Colonial Rosewood Planter’s Chair with folding backLate 19th century
A British colonial planter’s chair with folding back made of rosewood with a newly caned seat and back. The adjustable inclined back and seat are caned in separate sections. Each arm is composed of a flat plank with a rounded end, joined with a flat headed dowel to the arm support. At the lower end of the arm support is a plank that rotates out into a footrest. When not in use these planks are stored beneath the arms.
