British Colonial Rosewood Perfume Box

Late 19th century

A beautiful British colonial perfume box made of rosewood and profusely inlaid with delicately shaped pieces of brass. It features floral like designs on all sides, brass strapping to the edges, brass escutcheon plate and brass recessed lift handles on the sides. The box opens to reveal a compartment with the eight original cut glass perfume bottles present. On the inside of the hinged lid a mirror. This nice box stands on four brass legs.

The box is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory.
