British Colonial Teakwood Display Cabinet

Late 19th century

An elegant British colonial teakwood display cabinet with a decorative gallery on top. The astragal glazed doors open to a fitted interior with three shelves. The sides with plain glass panels. The cabinet is raised on four short cabriole legs.

The cabinet is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The Burma teak wood that this piece has been made of has a warm color and an attractive, straight grain.
