Indo-Portuguese Mahogany Round Table with Marble TopLate 19th century
A beautiful Indo-Portuguese or Portuguese colonial mahogany marble top table with finely carved floral designs on the apron. The new marble top rests on four solid and carved supports. These supports are connected to a carved round base with a tall, gracious finial that is decorated with a carved floral design.
The table stands on four cabriole legs with acanthus on the knees and end in carved scrolled feet.
The table is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The marble top has been replaced.
