Pair of British Colonial Architectural MirrorsMid 19th century
A pair of British colonial or Anglo-Indian mahogany architectural mirrors. The frame, of typical architectural form is surmounted by a broken pediment centred by a sunburst with carved foliate motif. With stunning hand carved columns on the side wood panels as well as intricate hand carved detailing on the top and bottom of the frame. It has metal brackets on the back so it can be easily hung on any wall or it is large enough that it could sit on the floor or a surface and lean against a wall.
