Pair of British Colonial Teakwood Bedside TablesMid 19th century
A pair of British colonial or Anglo-Indian teakwood bedside tables with an overlapping top that has rounded corners in the front. The four graduated drawers with brass lion-head pulls are flanked by pillars. The front and rear legs are connected by a straight stretcher, while the front legs are connected by a serpentine shaped stretcher with a shell carving at center. The tables stand on four small paw feet that are slightly canted out.
The tables are in good condition and have been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
