Looking for Diwali décor ideas? We have got you covered as we love Diwali; the most exuberant time of the year and our favorite Indian festival!
It is a five-day festival (21-25 October 2022), with the main celebrations happening on the third day. Diwali translates literally as ‘row of lamps’ and is a celebration of the victory of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance.
In India festivals and enthusiasm go hand in hand so we like to go the extra mile to make it memorable for our customers! We have been trying to come up with Diwali décor ideas with some new beautiful products from Good Earth, naturally styled with our antique furniture.
Check out Good Earth Tamara candle stand. An elegant, silvered arrangement stand that will hold candles, a glass votive or trailing flowers and plants perfectly, and is ideal for creating a grand display. The fluted silvered stands are designed in differing heights to be used individually or as a set of two or three. This centrepiece is a classic that you will use time and again.
These cute small lanterns are not only nice to just place on the (dinner) table but can be hung on a flower string too. For long lasting effect; use the artificial flower strings that are available in Little India. All styled on a British colonial oval center table with marble top and Singapore art from Marijke Bohm in the background.
Here we have added a little Singapore touch by placing Singapore’s national flower, the orchid, in a brass urli. A lovely arrangement blending in nicely with Marijke Bohm’s artwork of Singapore nature called ‘Green House’. Also pictured are Good Earth’s Mandalay serving tray with cartouche glasses and Padma and Cyra two tier stands, a delightful way offering cool sherbets and sweets.
Marigolds are available in plenty during the festive season. You can use them as whole flowers, or as petals to form a bed, or put them together alternating between yellow, orange, and green leaves for a stunning flower string. Place the flowers in a container made of foliage or green leaves for an unconventional arrangement. One thing for sure: Marigolds in brass urlis are tried and tested!
We wish you all a very joyous and prosperous Festival of Lights!
