Art Deco Teakwood Cylinder DeskEarly 20th century
An Art Deco teakwood cylinder desk with a rectangular moulded top with a gallery and a cylinder fall front. The top opens to reveal a fitted interior which consists of several pigeon holes and four drawers. The piece has a pull out writing slide with storage compartments and an adjustable writing slope. Beneath the writing slide, three equal sized drawers flanked by two cupboards with a bow fronted door.
The desk has very nice contrasting details in rosewood and a geometric ornament on top of the gallery, typical to the Art Deco style.
The desk is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
