British Colonial Mahogany Centre Table with Marble Top
Late 19th centuryA nice British colonial dark mahogany centre table with a rectangular overhanging new marble top. The apron with beautiful floral carving on all sides. The top is supported on two carved and serpentine shaped pillars that rest on four cabriole legs with carving on the knee and ending in scrolls. The supports are connected with a carved serpentine shaped stretcher.
The table is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The marble top has been replaced.
