British Colonial Teakwood Chest of Drawers
Mid 19th centuryA British colonial teak and rosewood chest of drawers with an overhanging top with rounded corners. This top and base both feature rosewood moulding. The upper section with two short drawers above one long drawer, the lower section has two long drawers. All of the drawers are flush fitting with the original recessed brass handles. The piece rests on four bun feet.
Like the majority of campaign chests, this one can also be split in two parts for ease of transport.
The chest is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
