Pair of British Colonial Teakwood Wing Chairs

Late 19th century

A pair of British colonial teakwood wing chairs with a flat wing mounted to the back stretching down to the arm rest. The chairs are fully upholstered in a lime green fabric with piping around the edges of the chair and the seat cushion. The broad roll of the arms curve out, the back slightly dome shaped. The chairs stand on two small cabriole legs with ball and claw feet at the front. The rear legs, of square section, are moderately raked. The seat height is 42 cm or 16½”.

The chairs are in good condition and have been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.

The price quoted is for the pair of chairs.
