Pair of Brass Hanging Lamps
Early 20th CenturySGD 2,400
An elegant pair of restored brass hanging hall lanterns in the Anglo-Indian Gothic taste. Each features a polygonal frame enclosing frosted glass panels with pointed-arch detailing, framed by decorative pierced bands above and below. Shaped architectural tops are balanced by richly modelled foliate bases terminating in small finials, while chain suspension completes their stately silhouette.
The restored brass finish brings definition to the ornamental metalwork and provides a warm contrast to the softly translucent glass. Combining architectural form with elaborate decorative detail, these lanterns make a striking pair for an entrance hall, stairwell or reception room.
These brass hall lanterns are in good condition and have been rewired as part of their restoration.
