British Colonial Teakwood Console Table
Late 19th centuryA long British colonial console table made of teakwood. It has a beautifully figured top (made of one piece of wood) and a moulded edge in rosewood. The frieze houses two cock beaded drawers with wooden pulls. The table is raised on four legs with multiple turnings ending in a peg foot.
The table is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The Burma teak wood that this piece has been made of has a warm color and an attractive, straight grain.
