A British colonial cheval mirror in teakwood. It is a full-length tilting mirror in a carved frame with a nice floral motif carvings on top. The mirror frame is attached with Wood Knobs that screw into the reeded carved supports. They rest on four cabriole legs that are connected with a stretcher with a scalloped floral carving at bottom edge. The mirror has been replaced by a new one, but the original back board is still in place. The size of the mirror is cm x cm or ” x ”.
The mirror frame and backboard are in good condition and have been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
