British Colonial Teakwood Sideboard

An elegant antique British colonial sideboard in teakwood. It has a moulded top with a shaped back over an arrangement of three big drawers flanked by a set of three short drawers. All drawers are flush fitting and have the original brass handles. At the back it has the original makers’ label ‘ Dashaw Mehta & Co, Calcutta’ . The piece is raised on four short cabriole legs.
The sideboard is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
