Art Nouveau Teakwood WardrobeEarly 20th century
An Art Nouveau wardrobe made of beautifully grained teakwood and inlaid with rosewood and cedarwood. Typical to the Art Nouveau style, the cupboard features curves and long lines and a parabola. Note the asymmetrically placed handles of the doors and inlay of different coloured woods: these are other characteristics of Art Nouveau. The doors open to a fitted interior with shelves and space for hanging clothes. The wardrobe rests on a plinth base.
The wardrobe is are in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
