British Colonial Teakwood Display Cabinet

Mid 19th century

An elegant British colonial teakwood display cabinet The top of the cabinet is adorned with a moulded pediment with an urn shaped finial at the centre. The sides with plain glass panels. The glazed doors open to a fitted interior with three glass shelves that are adjustable. The door handle is made of brass finished with resin at the ends. The cabinet is raised on a protruding base, which boasts a serpentine front and rests on four cabriole legs.

The cabinet is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
