A British colonial cedar wood pen box with a hinged, stepped lid.It is beautifully carved on all sides in low relief with a geometric pattern. The interior is fitted with several compartments and the inner edges of the hinged lid and box are decorated with brass straps.

The box is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
