British Colonial Jewellery Box with Brass Inlay
Mid 19th centuryA small British colonial jewellery box profusely inlaid with delicately shaped pieces of brass depicting stylized flora. It has a brass escutcheon plate and brass strapping to the edges. Inside, the box has a lift out tray and the hinged lid still has its original mirror.
The box is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
