British Colonial Mahogany Center Table with Marble TopMid 19th century
An elegant mahogany center table with a serpentine shaped marble top. The apron with beautiful floral carving at center. The top rests on four cabriole legs with carving on the knees ending in a scroll and a peg. The legs are connected with a carved X-shaped stretcher with a tall, gracious finial.
The table is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The mahogany has a rich warm shade with a striking grain. The marble has been replaced.
