British Colonial Mahogany Centre Table With Marble Top
Late 19th centuryAn elegant British colonial mahogany centre table with a plain deep apron and a marble overlapping top. The top rests on four curved spindles that connect at a base that is decorated with a tall, gracious finial. This base is supported on four cabriole legs with acanthus carving on the knee.
The table is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The mahogany has a rich warm shade with a striking grain.
