Mid 19th centuryA small and elegant British colonial display cabinet made of mahogany with a flat top. The sides and double doors have plain glass panels. The doors open to a fitted interior with two glass shelves. The cabinet rests on four turned tapering legs terminating in a ring and a peg foot.
The cabinet is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The mahogany has a rich warm shade with a striking grain.
