British Colonial Mahogany Games Table
Late 19th centuryAn elegant British colonial games table made of dark mahogany. The rectangular top is supported on four reeded and tapered legs that are slightly curved. They rest on brass claw feet. The top opens to double in size. These tables were multi-purpose, being used for both games and for refreshments such as tea. When closed it is a nice console table.
The table is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The mahogany has a rich warm, dark shade with a striking grain.
