An elegant British colonial rosewood games table. This top folds over to double in size by twisting the top supported by a leg. When opened, the top is surface has a soft black leather finish. The table is supported on a central pillar carved with stylized palmette and acanthus leaves. The pillar is supported by a quatrefoil base terminating in scroll feet. These tables were multipurpose, being used for both games and for refreshments such as tea.
