British Colonial Mahogany Glass Front Cabinet on Stand
Mid 19th centurySGD 6,500 SGD 5,200
An elegant British colonial glass front cabinet in dark mahogany with an overhanging top. Set back from the base, the cabinet has double doors each with three bevelled glass panels and a brass protector on the inner edge of the right door; they open to reveal two shelves. The lower section has two drawers, each fitted with two wooden pulls. All four legs are tapered and reeded and terminate in brass claw feet.
The cabinet is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The mahogany has a rich warm shade with a striking grain.
