British Colonial Rosewood Pedestal Table with Marble Top
Mid 19th centuryA British colonial center table or dining table with a circular marble top above a deep frieze with a moulded lower edge. The base has a solid central pillar that is carved on with a stylized carvings. This pillar has four secondary floating leg supports with multiple scrolls terminating at the feet.
The table is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The rosewood has a dark shade with a striking grain.
