The front with two equal sized short drawers, both with nice panelling and brass pulls. On either side of the writing table also two drawer fronts, but one is a faux drawer. The reeded legs are turned and tapered, with rings at the top and ending with a collared pegged foot.

The desk is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The mahogany has a rich warm, dark shade with a striking grain. The drawer sides and bottom are made of teakwood and attached with fine dovetails to the mahogany drawer front.
