British Colonial Rosewood Centre Table with Marble Top
Mid 19th centuryA beautiful British colonial centre table made of rosewood with a nicely shaped marble top above a plain apron. The top rests on four curving supports with scrolls at the ends. These carved supports are connected to a solid base with a tall, gracious finial. The table stands on four cabriole legs with floral carving on the knee and on the scrolled end. The marble on top has been newly replaced.
The table is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The rosewood has a rich warm shade with a striking grain.
