British Colonial Rosewood Round Dining Table with Marble TopMid 19th century
A beautiful and very elegant large British colonial round dining table made of rosewood with a new marble top. The circular top with moulded edges above and below the apron and on four sides carved with a floral pattern. It stands on a pedestal with a beautifully carved baluster support and four splayed legs ending in brass claw castors. The table is of good proportions and would seat six people. Could be used as a centre table in an entrance hall too.
The table is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The rosewood has a rich warm shade with a striking grain.
