British colonial Teakwood Display Table

An elegant British colonial bijouterie (jewellery) display table made of teakwood. These tables, with a beveled glass top and sides, were used to showcase jewellery or other precious items. The table is raised on four straight legs which are connected by a double H-stretcher.
The table is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The Burma teakwood that this piece has been made of has a warm colour and an attractive, straight grain.
