British Colonial Teakwood Glass Front Cabinet
Early 20th centuryA fine British colonial teakwood display cabinet with a moulded cornice over three arch shaped glass fronted doors enclosing a cupboard with three shelves. The same arrangement is repeated in the lower part of the cabinet. For the ease of transport, the upper and the lower part can be separated. The label to the inside of the top middle door is marked Army & Navy Stores, Calcutta, Furniture Manufactures. The cabinet stands on a moulded plinth and is further raised on four square block feet. For the ease of transport, the upper and the lower part can be separated.
The cabinet is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
