Pair of British Colonial Teakwood Wing Chairs

Late 19th century

A pair of British colonial teakwood wing chairs with a flat wing mounted to the back stretching down to the arm rest. The chairs are fully upholstered in a mustard velvet fabric with piping around the edges of the chair and the seat cushion.

The broad roll of the arms curve out, the back slightly dome shaped. The chairs stand on two small cabriole legs with and claw feet at the front. The rear legs, of square section, are moderately raked.
