Portuguese Colonial Rosewood Console Table
Mid 19th centuryA splendid Portuguese colonial console table made of rosewood. The beveled top over a beautifully carved frieze in a fine floral pattern. This quality antique console table stands on four turned reeded legs with a solid base and turned bun feet. An interesting table that would work perfectly as a hall table, side table or even a centre table.
The console table is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The Indian rosewood that this piece has been made of has a naturally occurring dark shade with a striking grain.
