A beautiful Portuguese colonial chest of drawers made of rosewood. It features

two short drawers over two longer ones. All of the drawers with two ornate brass

swan neck handles and decorative key escutcheons. On the sides brass carrying handles. The piece sits in a solid base with a scalloped apron and with four graceful cabriole legs ending in a claw foot.

The chest of drawers is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The mahogany has a rich warm shade with a striking grain.
