Mid 19th centuryA beautiful Portuguese colonial chest of drawers made of mahogany. It features four short drawers over three longer ones. All of the drawers with two brass swan neck handles. On the sides brass carrying handles. The piece sits in a solid base with a scalloped apron and with four short cabriole legs ending in a claw foot. The chest of drawers is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The mahogany has a rich warm shade with a striking grain.
