Pair of British Colonial Mahogany Corner Chairs

Mid 19th century

A pair of British colonial mahogany corner elbow chairs with an arched crest back rail, two pierced splats on the sides, turned baluster uprights under the arms and a shaped apron. The legs are turned and end with a ring and a peg foot. The hand caned seat and back have been replaced in a pattern typical of the colonial period. Seat Height 48cm (19″)

The chairs are in good condition and have been lovingly restored to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
