An antique British colonial sofa in walnut with a beautifully carved filigree crest rail and front apron. The front of the reeded frame with flare arms that end in a scroll with finely carved floral roundels. The carvings are crisp and executed with great skill. The back of the frame with a more plain molded form. The piece sits on four reeded sabre legs terminating in a scroll.
The seat and back have recently been re-upholstered in a show stopping silver grey satin.

The sofa is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. It comes with the set of cushions as shown in the image.
