Art Deco Teakwood Cylinder Desk

Early 20th century

An Art Deco teakwood cylinder desk with nicely contrasting rosewood details. It features a rectangular moulded top and a cylinder fall front. The top opens to reveal a fitted interior which consists of three pigeon holes above three drawers with a brass pull flanked by two storage compartments either side. The piece has a pull-out writing slide with storage compartments and an adjustable writing slope. Beneath the writing slide, three equal sized drawers and a small cupboard with one shelf.

The desk is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
