British Colonial Teakwood Chest of Drawers on Stand
Late 19th centuryA British colonial chest of drawers on stand, made of solid planks of teakwood. It features three short drawers over two longer ones, the lower section has two deep long drawers. All drawers cock beaded with brass cast drawer pulls of typical Regency design. The base with a moulded edge and four tapered and carved legs ending in bun feet. The legs are connected by a stretcher.
The chest of drawers is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The teak wood that this piece has been made of has a warm color and an attractive, straight grain
