British Colonial Rosewood Cheval Mirror
Late 19th centuryA British colonial cheval mirror in rosewood. It is a full-length tilting dome shaped mirror in a frame with a carved crest rail and flanked by upright supports with brass screws. On top two finials. The mirror is supported by a cross stretcher and rests on four cabriole legs with acanthus carving on the knees and ending in scrolls. The original back boards are still in place.
The mirror is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
