Late 19th centuryA British colonial planter’s chair made of teakwood with a newly caned seat and back. The adjustable inclined back and seat are caned in separate sections. A separate footrest slides out from underneath the seat when needed. Stores neatly when not in use these. The front legs are higher than the rear legs so the seat inclines.
The chair is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
