Portuguese Colonial Teakwood Chest of drawers
Mid 19th centuryA Portuguese colonial chest of drawers made of teakwood. It features five graduated drawers with the original C-shaped brass handles with extruding lugs against a brass back plate. The drawer front is further adorned with brass shield like escutcheons. The piece stands on a solid base and rests on four bun feet.
The chest is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing.
