Art Deco Teakwood Sideboard

Early 20th century

A nice Art Deco sideboard made of beautifully grained teakwood. Typical to the Art Deco style, the sideboard features geometrical shapes with an emphasis on horizontal lines and has a streamlined surface. The stepped top features a single drawer with two small round rosewood pulls. The four doors, each with a round rosewood pull, open to an interior with one shelve. The sideboard is supported on two curving arc supports on a plinth that are connected by a cross stretcher.

The sideboard is in good condition and has been lovingly restored and finished to its former glory using a traditional form of French polishing and waxing. The Burma teak wood that this piece has been made of has a warm color and an attractive, straight grain
